“The Shadow Self and the Unconscious Mind
The shadow self is primarily rooted in the unconscious mind, representing the aspects of our personality that are hidden or unknown to us. It includes both positive and negative qualities that we have disowned or rejected. Exploring the shadow self can help us uncover hidden talents, repressed emotions, and unresolved trauma, leading to personal growth and self-discovery.
Embracing the shadow self is not about glorifying negativity or indulging in destructive tendencies; rather, it is about integrating all facets of our being to achieve a state of balance and harmony. By shining a light on the shadow self, individuals can cultivate a greater sense of self-awareness and acceptance, paving the way for profound personal evolution and psychological healing.”
If the blind man leads the blind man, they both fall into the pit. Or translated: if the Shadow explores itself, it will never become Light, because it is incapable of abandoning itself and its harmful qualities, which is necessary for true evolution. As long as it maintains, defends, and defends them as “positive” and “integrates” them into “balance” and “harmony”, it will remain a Shadow. If you want to become Light, you must abandon the Shadow.
“Identifying the Shadow Self: Signs and Indicators
Exploring the depths of our psyche can lead us to encounter the shadow self, a concept introduced by Swiss psychiatrist Carl Jung. The shadow self represents the aspects of our personality that we repress or deny, often due to societal norms or personal discomfort. By acknowledging and integrating these shadow aspects, we can achieve a more holistic and authentic sense of self.
Recognizing the presence of the shadow self within us is a vital step in self-awareness and personal development. The following areas provide insights into how the shadow self manifests in our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors:
1. Emotional Responses and the Shadow Self
The shadow self often reveals itself through intense emotional reactions that seemingly arise from nowhere. For instance, disproportionate anger, jealousy, or fear may indicate underlying unresolved issues or unacknowledged parts of ourselves that require attention and integration. These emotions act as messengers, signaling areas of our psyche that are in need of exploration and healing.
Delving into our emotional landscape can be a transformative journey towards self-discovery. By embracing even the most uncomfortable emotions, we can uncover valuable insights into our inner world and pave the way for emotional liberation and growth.”
Only when you start to wake up and let go of the harmful parts of your personality and enjoy the initially brief moments of peace, inner calm, and physical relaxation, will you realize in how bad state you were before.
In the beginning, you will still be tossed to and fro, from awareness to realization and back to awareness, and when you come to yourself again you will feel as if you have come out of an emotional-mental cesspit.
With regular practice with the awakening exercises, these moments of perfection will grow longer and longer until you drop all partial personalities, permanently exit the mind, and stabilize yourself in Pure Awareness forever.
“2. Behavioral Patterns and the Shadow Self
Repetitive patterns of behavior, particularly those that are self-destructive or counterproductive, can be indicative of the shadow self at play. These patterns often stem from unresolved conflicts, fears, or desires that remain hidden from our conscious awareness. Recognizing and understanding these patterns allows for personal growth and transformation. By shining a light on our shadow behaviors, we empower ourselves to make conscious choices that align with our true values and aspirations.
Exploring the depths of our behavioral patterns can lead us to uncover the underlying motivations driving our actions. Through introspection and self-reflection, we can untangle the intricate web of our subconscious programming and make intentional shifts towards a more fulfilling and authentic way of being.”
Let me repeat, it is very important and decisive who observes, recognizes, and understands the behavioral patterns of the harmful split personalities or Shadow – the awakening and increasingly aware whole one or one of the old split personalities that make up the Shadow and is now pretending to be “personality evolving”.
One of the first things you will notice about the awakening and letting go of the partial personalities that make up the Shadow is that they will do anything to maintain themselves and continue to pretend to be you and run the game on your behalf.
The unawakened one who awakens into Pure Awareness abandons itself and re-creates itself as a new personality. He grasps himself by the hair and pulls himself out of the swamp of Darkness where the Shadow reigns and rises into the Light of Pure Awareness.
True personality development can only be successfully carried out by the aware one who must not allow the Shadow even a ray of Darkness, let alone give in to it and fall for its lie that it knows how to evolve. The Shadow must be abandoned and wiped clean, not listened to, “cooperated” with and subdued to.
“The Impact of the Shadow Self on Personal Relationships

Our shadow self not only influences our individual psyche but also extends its reach into our relationships with others. By understanding and integrating the shadow self, we can navigate personal connections with greater self-awareness and emotional intelligence.
Exploring the depths of our shadow self can reveal hidden aspects of our personality that we may have repressed or denied. These shadow qualities, often stemming from unresolved traumas or societal conditioning, can subtly influence our behaviors and perceptions in relationships without our conscious awareness. Embracing and integrating these shadow aspects can lead to a more authentic and balanced way of relating to others.”
The shadow not only affects “us”, it is “we” who are not yet the real us, but only karmically programmed puppets until we awaken to Pure Awareness. Just roles and not yet real actors. At this stage, there is no difference between “us” and “the Shadow”, because we are the Shadow.
Our Shadow has relations with other Shadows, as the real us is not yet on the scene. For the real us to take over the game and become the real players, we must let go of the Shadow, by resolutely, consistently, and thoroughly illuminating it with the Light of Truth, Love, and Pure Awareness.
